Amherst County
Don’t make my mistake when you visit Amherst County. Bring your kayak! The good news: we saw 2 waterfalls, hiked portions of the Appalachian Trail and James River Heritage Trail, and visited the Monacan Indian Nation Museum. Added bonus: Mack and his brother Ron had a ball fishing the James River with guide Jeremy Cunningham.
